Summer and autumn aviation season begins, with 41 new air routes added to the three airports on Hainan Island

Starting from March 29th, China's civil aviation has entered the summer and autumn flight season, and 11 airports under Hainan Airport Group are actively preparing. The three major airports in Hainan Island plan to implement 294 flight routes and operate over 150 destinations, with 22 new domestic destinations and 19 new international destinations, providing a wider coverage of flight routes.

As the gateway hub of Hainan Free Trade Port, the domestic route networks of the three major airports are constantly improving, covering mainly major cities and popular tourist destinations in China.  

Haikou Meilan International Airport plans to operate 117400 flights, 171 routes, and 128 destinations, with the addition of domestic destinations such as Bozhou and Jiaxing. Sanya Phoenix International Airport plans to take off and land 83400 sorties, operate 111 routes, open 94 points, and add Anshun, Mount Huangshan and other domestic navigation points. Qionghai Boao International Airport plans to operate 12 routes, connecting 15 destinations, and adding new destinations such as Nanchang and Guiyang to strengthen regional branch services.  

In terms of expansion of international routes, Haikou Meilan International Airport has added new navigation points such as Abu Dhabi and Dubai, covering the "the Belt and Road" and key cities of RCEP member countries; Sanya Phoenix International Airport has added new destinations such as Minsk and Ufa, extending its routes to Southeast Asia and the Russian speaking region; Qionghai Boao International Airport has added a new Kuala Lumpur hub to enhance international connectivity.  

Hainan Airport Group stated that the new airline season will continue to optimize route layout, enhance support capabilities, and assist passenger travel and regional economic development.
